Let us pray to the Lord

O Lord, help us, your Church, to live in the unity you ask of us, care for and serve each other as family and work as an expression of your love of the world.

Generously share Your spirit with all nations. Help all peoples to recognize Christ in others, and recognize themselves in their enemies. We pray for all those who work in the pursuit of peace, and all those suffering in war, conflict and violence. Thinking of the Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, and all other wars.

Cleanse our hearts, Lord. Help us to be honest with ourselves and others. Show us our prejudices and selfishness and gift us with a hunger and joy for seeking what is right.

Teach us to live as part of your creation, rather than beyond it. Help us to see the full glory of this Spring, and share in creation as the inheritance for all people and all life.

Lord, give your strength and wisdom to all who offer their skill and energy for the healing of those who are sick. Be present in our hospitals, and homes, and anywhere where people suffer. Ease our burdens, comfort the ill and aid in their healing.

Set free all who are bound by fear and despair, that they may live the new life in the promise of Christ Jesus.
