Analysis
Strengths:
- - open and welcoming atmosphere
- - dedicated core of people with strong Christian beliefs
- - music talent
- - financially secure - i.e. have a rectory, investments
- - area of rapidly growing population
- - valued programs – such as Men’s Breakfast, Ladies Luncheon, Book Club
Weaknesses:
- - need to increase/enhance programs offered
- - attracting people that are representative of the area demographics
Opportunities:
- - Growing population
- - An inclusive church
- - Exploration of what it means to be a community church
- - based on current statistics, more than 8.3% of the people in our Parish community still self-identify as Anglican. That’s over 900 potential new Church members - a lot
- of potential!
Challenges:
- - much of the population identifies as having no religious affiliation
- - people identifying as Anglicans are decreasing at a significant rate
- - family activities leave little room for church
- - location of the church is not central to the population centers
Goals:
- - Attract and engage new members to our Church
- - Reduce current operating expenses
- - Increase total revenue
- - Using a portion of our total revenue build a solid base of mission, outreach and evangelistic initiatives and programs
